This Porsche Boxster Spyder is an excellent “Swan Song” for the 987 generation. The 3.4 liter 6 cylinder engine in this Spyder has been paired with the ultra rare 6 speed manual gearbox which in combination with the climate control makes this a unique offer. The first owner also added some lovely extras that have turned this thing into a Nurbürgring Killer capable of putting creases in the asphalt. The following modifications were done by an authorized Porsche Dealership before the car was ever handed over to the first owner. The short shifter makes the transition between gears precise and quick delivering the power even faster to the rear wheels which are kept in check by a full Porsche GT3 suspension system including upgraded GT3 brakes. In the front center an additional oil cooler has been added to keep the life blood cool and in the rear we have a stainless steel Fabspeed exhaust system that renders the factory stereo system useless.
First presented in 2009 in Los Angeles, the 987 Spyder is the lightest model of the entire series. Coming in 80 kilos leighter than a regular Boxster S not only due to the aluminium doors and boot lid, but also other little things such as the door handles being removed and replaced with cloth straps. This is the kind of Porsche that is built when you give the engineers a blank check and tell them to do what they do best!
This Spyder was first registered in 2010 and has had only 2 owners which have taken care of this beautiful machine. This Spyder however was not a trailer queen that has been kept in a garage somewhere secluded. This Spyder was used as it was meant to be, but also taken care of and well maintained. A recent Porsche 101 Inspection insures that the next owner is purchasing a Spyder that is ready to go and a simple history check will prove that this car has a clean bill of health.
The Carrara White paint is still in excellent condition and all wheels are without damage and surrounded by brand new Michelin tires.
